“Why would he
do that?” Strawberry asked, welling up with tears.
“Guys are assholes”
said Shady. “Especially Muffins”
Strawberry walked away.
She walked to her house and dialed Muffins' number.
“Hello?”
he answered.
“Hey” said
Strawberry.
“Who is this?”
asked Muffins.
“Strawberry”
she said.
Click. He had hung
up.
Strawberry laid down
on her bed and started crying. She woke up a couple hours later to her doorbell ringing nonstop. She got up and looked out
her window, and saw Strudel standing there. She wiped her eyes and went downstairs, and opened the door.
“A year ago I
would've started making out with you” said Strudel. “But now I'll just ask. What's wrong?”
“Muffins hates
me” Strawberry sobbed.
Strudel let himself
in the rest of the way, and shut the door behind him. “How could anyone hate you?” he asked. “You're incredible”
“Strudel, you're
still with Pan” Strawberry said.
“You`re still
my friend” said Strudel. “And I still care about you”
“Really.”
said Strawberry. “That’s funny”
Strudel grabbed her
hand.
“Strudel, don`t”
Strawberry begged, trying to get away. “Don`t do this to me. Just don`t”
Strudel didn`t listen.
“Calm down” he said. He walked her over to the couch in the front room.
“Strudel”
Strawberry sobbed.
Strudel sat her down,
and he sat down, too. Strawberry started crying again, but her tears were muffled out by Strudel's shirt, which Strawberry
had buried her head in.
“It`s ok”
Strudel stroked her hair. “He`s just an asshole”
