Strawberry, Tessa, Ramona, ChiChi, and Clorox just stared at them.

“Pan, quiet” Strudel whispered.

“No” said Pancake. “I already told my best friend. She has a right to know”

“Know what?” asked Ramona.

“Nothing” said Strudel.

Pancake looked up at him. “Why, Strudel?” she asked. “Why? Are you embarrassed of me?”

“Pancake, you know that’s not true” said Strudel.

“Fine, then tell Ramona & Tessa” said Pancake.

“W-we” Strudel stuttered. “We slept together, ok?”

“Wow” said Tessa. “Were you guys fighting the whole time?”

“No” said Strudel in a snobby way.

“Just asking” said Tessa. “You guys always argue”

“Yeah” said Ramona. “It’s sad”

Mr. Q. walked down the path where they were. “Strudel” he said. “Niice to see you”

“Yeah, you too” said Strudel. “I’ve been staying with Pancake and her family for awhile”

“Ahh, I see” said Mr. Q. “Well, come home soon. You need to baby-sit Cuhly again” he walked away towards the gazebo.

“I never babysat that dog” Strudel said once Mr. Q. was gone. “Weird. Whatever.”

Shady walked down the path with Burger. “Strawberry” she said. “Muffins had to go on an emergency trip to Utah. He told me to tell you”

“Amazing” said Strawberry. “That’s great”

“Mhmm” said Shay. “I still can’t believe you’re dating my cousin”

“Shut up” Strawberry laughed. “I haven’t even talked to him in forever”

A few weeks later, Strawberry still hadn`t talked to Muffins. “Shady is Muffins back from Utah yet?” she asked.  

“Yeah, he’s been back for a couple of weeks” Shay replied.

“I haven`t seen him in school” Strawberry said.

“Maybe he`s ignoring you” said Shady.
