9 Mile ((The Best Story Ever))
Memories

We went to the moon in 1969.

“Me” Strudel said, as their lips pulled apart.

“Pardon me?” asked ChiChi.

“Your first kiss was with me” Strudel said, as he picked up his bag and walked down the path towards Pancake’s house.

ChiChi watched him walk away.

Strudel rang the doorbell and C.J. opened the door.

“Yo, man” said C.J.

“Hey” said Strudel.

Meanwhile, ChiChi walked home, grinning ear to ear. She had just received the greatest birthday present ever. She saw Smog meditating outside in his front yard.

“What the-?” she said out loud.

“Hi, ChiChi” said Smog. “Happy birthday”

“Um, how did you know it was my birthday?” said ChiChi.

“I know everything” said Smog.

“Stalker” said ChiChi.

“Let’s play a game” said Smog.

“Go away, Smog” said ChiChi. “It’s bad enough that you live next door to me. Just leave me alone” She walked into her house.

Meanwhile, California was planning what she was gonna say to Gabe when he came over to help her with math. How was she supposed to explain the A- on her test? She asked her teacher to give her an F, but he wouldn’t.

There was a knock at her door.

“I guess he doesn’t believe in doorbells” California said to herself, as she opened the door.

“Hey study buddy” said Gabe.

“Hey” California giggled.

“So” said Gabe. “Should we go over your last test?”

“Sure, um, I guess” said California. She showed him the test.

“Did you see this?” Gabe said excitedly. “You don’t need help”

“Oh, but I do” said California.

“With what?” Gabe asked.

California leaned in. Gabe started to kiss her, but he pulled back.

“California” he said. “I’m sorry. But I sort of have a girlfriend back in my old state”

“Oh” said California. “Oh, sorry”

“So do you need help with anything?” Gabe asked.

“Well I don’t understand the slope intercept form” said California.
