Later on after school, C.J. was at his house watching TV, when the doorbell rang. He got up and went to get the door. It was Gepetto.

“Hey, man” said C.J.

“Hey,” said Gepetto. “Is Pancake here?”

“Why do you and Pancake always hang out?” C.J. asked.

“Because we’re really good friends” said Gepetto.

Pancake came out of her room wearing a cami and short shorts.

“Put some clothes on!” said C.J. “It’s almost December!”

“Shut up, C.J., you’re not my father” said Pancake.

“Are you guys dating?” C.J. asked. “You better not be. I’m allowed to date my girlfriend, though”

“Who?” asked Gepetto.

“Montana” said C.J.

“Montana’s your friend who’s a girl,” said Pancake. “But she’s not your girlfriend”

“Not after last night” said C.J.

“C.J., shut up” said Pancake. “You were here last night watching TV alone”

Gepetto laughed. “Let’s go work on that project, Pan”

The two of them headed upstairs.
