As they ate, Ringo stared at Cherry.

“What?” Cherry asked.

“Nothing” said Ringo. “So” he said, changing the subject. “Are you ready for school on Wednesday? It`s finally our senior year”

“Definitely not” said Cherry. “I hate school”

“Maybe we`ll have some classes together” Ringo said. “That would rock”

“Yeah” said Cherry. “Maybe we will”

Ringo smiled again. “You gonna eat those chips?” he asked.

“What?” said Cherry. “Oh, no, you can have them”

“Thanks” said Ringo, taking the chips.

They stayed quiet for a moment.

“So” Ringo said, breaking the ice. “Did you have fun tonight?”

“Yeah” Cherry smiled, as they both got up and threw out their trash.

“So” Ringo said as they walked out to his car. “Since you had fun, do you wanna make it official?”

He opened the passenger`s door for Cherry.

“I suppose” Cherry said.

“I won`t ever hurt you” Ringo said quietly.

Cherry smiled, as Ringo leaned in and kissed her.
