“Do you see her yet?”
Fiona asked Doreen as they drove around the neighborhood for the 80th time.
“Fiona, she’s
probably home by now” said Doreen.
So Fiona pulled into Doreen’s
driveway.
“And we almost had
her” Fiona said.
Meanwhile, Strudel just sat
in his room. There was a knock at his door.
“Strudel? Can I come
in, honey?” it was his mom.
“Yeah, Mom” said
Strudel. “Come on in”
Pearl walked in &&
sat on the bed. Strudel was sitting against the wall, playing a game on his cell phone. ((His mom had turned off the phone
service and text messaging until the weekend, but Strudel could still play games on it))
“Strudel” said
Pearl.
“Yeah?” said
Strudel, not looking up from his phone.
“Strudel, put the phone
down, please” said Pearl.
“Mom, I’m listening”
said Strudel. “I promise”
Pearl got up and grabbed
the phone out of Strudel’s hands and flipped it shut.
“I was winning at Family
Feud” said Strudel.
“Well”
said Pearl. “Survey says, sorry”
