"Bob gave me a discount on toilet paper at Kmart" Pia said quietly.

"If you're doing this for goose money, it's not gonna work" said Waffles. “Besides, Ringo already has all the toilet paper we need”

“Harumph” said Pia, walking off in a huff.

Ramona climbed on the roof, and dragged toilet paper across it.

Trixie put it in the windows and ChiChi put it around the basketball hoop.

Tessa put it on the garage.

The door opened, and Ramona shrieked and slipped.  “Oh my gosh! Help!” she screamed.

Strudel held his arms out and caught her. They both fell to the ground.

Effy’s mother came outside, and looked at Strudel’s crutches next to him. “Don’t move,” she warned them. “I’ll need these for Midnight someday.”

Effy’s dad came out and brought the crutches inside.

“Hey!” shouted Strudel. “I need those!” Strudel was sitting on the ground, with Ramona in his lap.

“Clean this mess up immediately, you two!” Effy’s mom (Bats) screamed at Strudel and Ramona, as she called the cops.

Ramona was holding her ankle, breathing heavily. She looked like she was gonna cry.

“C’mon, up!” shouted Bats.

Tessa tried helping Ramona up.

“I think I twisted my ankle,” said Ramona.

“Get up!” Bats shouted at Strudel.

“He kind of can’t!” said Ramona, still on the ground, in his lap.

The cops didn’t come since they blocked Bats’s number because she called too much.

Ramona continued yelling at Bats. “He saved me, so you just need to get over yourself!”

Eventually, everybody left. Except Strudel and Ramona.

“You be the right leg, I’ll be the left” Ramona offered.

“Where do we go?” asked Strudel

“I don’t know,” said Ramona.

“Lets go to Pancake’s” Strudel said. “Nobody’s home & I can get in”

Ramona said nothing.

“We’ll leave early” Strudel reassured her.

So Ramona got on the left, they both stood up & put their arm around each other, and took turns moving their good leg, until they finally reached Pancake’s house.

“I’ll sleep in Pancake’s room. You sleep in C.J.'s room,” said Ramona.

“What about when we need to get up?” Strudel asked.

“Oh yeah” Ramona remembered.

“Ramona” Strudel said with a very serious look on his face. “We’re gonna have to sleep together”
