Two days past eighteen
He was gonna get a bite at a Burger King
Sat down in a booth in a cafe there
Gave his order to a girl with dirty hair
He's a little shy so she gives him a smile
And she said would you mind sittin' down for a while
And not eatin' anything,
Cause I'm too tired to cook
He said "how come", she said "I just read a book."
So they went down and he sat on her hair
She said "Ow that hurts" he said "I don't care
I got no one to send a letter to
Would you mind if I sent one back here to you"
I screamed
Never gonna hold the hand of another jerk
They're dumb they deserve each other
She said "First I have to ask my mother"
Their love will never end
Waitin' for the loser to come back again
Never more to be alone when behind
Burger King is her home
So the letters came from around the world
From Taco Bell and McDonalds
And he sent her some burgers and some fries
all of the things he was so scared of
He said when it's getting kinda rough over here
I think of that day sittin' down on your hair
And I close my eyes and see your nasty smile
Don't worry but I won't be able to cook for awhile
I screamed
Never gonna hold the hand of another jerk
They're dumb they deserve each other
She said "First I have to ask my mother"
Their love will never end
Waitin' for the loser to come back again
Never more to be alone when behind
Burger King is her home
One Friday night at a ping pong game
The Lord's Prayer said and the anthem sang
A man said folks would you bow your heads
For a restaurant worker chopped off his head.
Crying all alone under the stands
Was the pickles and onions and marching ham
And one name read and nobody really cared
But an ugly little girl with dirty hair
I screamed
Never gonna hold the hand of another jerk
They're dumb they deserve each other
She said "First I have to ask my mother"
Their love will never end
Waitin' for the loser to come back again
Never more to be alone when behind
Burger King......
I screamed
Never gonna hold the hand of another jerk
They're dumb they deserve each other
She said "First I have to ask my mother"
Their love will never end
Waitin' for the loser to come back again
Never more to be alone when behind
Burger King is her home
